Today’s Remember When “mystery photo” shows Tracy firefighters battling a blaze that gutted a downtown Tracy restaurant in June 1997. Where was the fire and what was its cause?

Last week’s Remember When “mystery photo” showed the Tracy High Future Farmers of America novice parliamentary procedure team in May 1979. Team members had just returned from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where they had finished second to Riverside in statewide FFA “parli-pro” competition. Left to right: Jim Stroup, Allen Domecq, Roger McLeod, Caron Bianchi and Kathy Pombo. Tracyites identifying those in the photo were Raymond Pombo, Pam Henderson, Coleen Bianchi and Kathy Pombo Lockwood. Tracy High’s advanced “parli-pro” team won first place at the same event. Team members included Mark Stroup, Richard Pombo, Kim Prater, Dori Kelly and Paul Bianchi.
